Working in Glendale
Glendale is ten minutes from my front door and probably my busiest city after Burbank. It's also one of the most varied places I work, because Glendale contains at least four completely different kinds of building.
The flats around Adams Hill, Vine Street and the older parts of central Glendale are full of 1920s Spanish, Craftsman and Tudor homes with plaster walls, original hardware and electrical systems that have been patched by six decades of owners. Head north into the Verdugo Woodlands, Chevy Chase Canyon and Oakmont and the houses get bigger, the lots slope harder, and Wi-Fi coverage and outdoor structures become the dominant requests. Downtown Glendale — the corridor around Brand and the Americana — is dense mid-rise and high-rise condo living, which means stacked laundry, in-unit appliance constraints, and HOA rules about drilling and exterior mounting. And Montrose and the northern edge blend into the La Crescenta foothills.
Glendale also has a large concentration of small businesses and professional offices along Brand Boulevard, Central Avenue and Glenoaks, plus a substantial Armenian-American business community — a lot of my repeat commercial work is here: office networks, camera systems, POS hardware and the general maintenance a small storefront needs.
What I get called for in Glendale
- Condo appliance swaps where the unit has to fit an existing stacked closet
- Business camera systems for Brand Boulevard and Central Avenue storefronts
- Wi-Fi coverage across sloped, multi-level Verdugo Woodlands homes
- Office network buildouts and POS terminal support
- Plaster repair and texture matching in 1920s Adams Hill homes
- Pergola and patio cover assembly on hillside lots that need real leveling
- Ceiling fan and fixture replacement in older homes with no neutral at the switch
- Computer and printer support for small professional offices

Local notes
HOAs and condo buildings. Many Downtown Glendale buildings require a certificate of insurance on file before any contractor works in a unit, and some restrict work hours. Tell me the building and who to send the COI to and I'll handle it before the appointment rather than getting turned away at the desk.
Hillside properties. Chevy Chase Canyon and Oakmont homes frequently need more than one Wi-Fi access point, and a wired backhaul run is usually the difference between working and almost working. Worth doing once, properly.

DetailsHow a job actually goes
- 1
Tell me what's wrong
Call, text a photo, or fill in the form. Photos of the model plate or the problem area cut the guesswork enormously.
- 2
Get a real price range
You get a range before I drive out, not after. If it's a job that needs a licensed contractor, I'll tell you that on the phone instead of wasting your time.
- 3
I show up in the window
You get a text when I'm on the way. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and the work area left cleaner than I found it.
- 4
Pay when it works
Flat price agreed up front. Card, Zelle, cash or check. Parts I install carry the manufacturer warranty and my labor is guaranteed for 90 days.
Glendale questions
Do you serve all of Glendale?
Yes — 91201 through 91208, from the flats to the Verdugo foothills, plus Montrose and the Glendale side of La Crescenta. Glendale is typically same-day.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my Glendale HOA?
Yes, at no charge. Send me the management company's contact and requirements and I'll have it on file before I arrive.
Do you do commercial work for Glendale businesses?
A lot of it — office networks, camera systems, POS and receipt printer support, workstation setup, and general repairs for storefronts along Brand, Central and Glenoaks. On-site, without a monthly retainer.

“Our Samsung fridge stopped cooling on a Friday. Armen came out the same afternoon, found a failed evaporator fan, and had it running before dinner. He showed me the old part and explained exactly what happened. No upsell, no drama.”
“Three-story townhouse with Wi-Fi that died on the top floor. He ran a hardwired access point instead of selling me another extender, and now I get full speed in every room. He labeled every cable in the closet too.”
“Four cameras around the house plus a doorbell, all on my phone. He walked the property with me first and moved two camera positions based on where our packages actually get dropped. Clean cable runs, nothing hanging.”
